Taylor’s new album, ‘Speak Now’ is released on October 25th

Late-night show personality and bestselling author Chelsea Handler hopes to bring pop starlet Taylor Swift and Kanye West together when she hosts this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Since Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech last year, the two haven’t been around each other–mostly because West went on hiatus, opting not to attend illustrious events like the Grammys. But now that he’s back and a performer at the forthcoming awards, Handler wants to change that.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his On-Air radio show yesterday to promote the event, Handler said:
I’d like to get them [Swift and West] together. Because you’ve never really seen them together since then. They were supposed to be on SNL, but then that didn’t end up happening. I don’t know. We’ll try and think of something clever to do with them, because that would be really fun. Everyone loves Taylor Swift, and Kanye’s Kanye.”

Her upcoming album “Speak Now” will feature the single, which recently made its way to the iTunes store.
On the new song, Swift sings about what it feels like to find a guy who is different from the rest.
Taylor Swift is donating $500,000 to flood relief in Nashville, which will go directly to various flood relief organizations in the city (the flooding killed 30 people in three states).
Being at home during the storm, I honestly could not believe what was happening to the city and the people I love so dearly,” the 20-year-old country cutie told The Associated Press via e-mail. “Nashville is my home, and the reason why I get to do what I love. I have always been proud to be a Nashvillian, but especially now, seeing the love that runs through this city when there are people in crisis.”
Taylor added,
Please keep Nashville in your heart. Seeing a picture of the Grande Ole Opry halfway underwater was a kind of heartbreak I can’t describe.”
Taylor Swift moved to Nashville when she was 14. On June 16th, Ke$ha, a Nashville native and resident, will perform during a special flood benefit concert in Nashville.
Drake is currently on his Away from Home tour and hitting up various universities around the USA. Music on Campus bagged him for an interview and asked him about his upcoming debut album “Thank Me Later” which is due to be released on 15th June. Drake also revealed who he currently listens to on his iPod.
Looks like Drake may be a closet fan of Taylor Swift…

Swift said: ‘My idea of a great song is a song that says how I feel better than I could. I feel the same way about greeting cards.
‘I’ve always been fascinated by feelings and how we express them to each other. Getting to write and design these cards is a wonderful experience.’

Drake told ‘Extra’ that his favorite moment from the awards show was seeing Taylor Swift and he wants to work with her in future!
“Seeing Taylor Swift in person is always fun for me,” Drake dished to ‘Extra’s' AJ Calloway backstage at Sunday’s show. “I bought this Taylor Swift t-shirt the other day that I might wear tonight.”
The rapper continued, “I just have this small little thing with her, I just like her whole being. I’m excited about her career and I’m excited about wearing my t-shirt tonight.”
When Calloway asked Drake if he would consider collaborating with the country megastar, Drake answered, “That would be nice, I’m down!”
Well if Taylor’s reaction to Drake’s Grammy performance [above] is anything to go then she’s also a fan!
The Peoples Choice Awards took place last night in LA and the people have spoken; the people have chosen Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp and the Taylors [Swift and Lautner] as big winners!

Since the relase of Sussan Boyle’s ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ over a month ago, Boyle has held steady in her perch atop the Billboard top 200 Albums chart holding off the likes of Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Rihanna, R. Kelly, Mary J Blige and Adam Lambert.
And this week is no different, as the Scottish singer stays at #1 for a fifth week, forcing Mary J. Blige to debut at #2 with Stronger With Each Tear
Billboard notes that with sales last week of 510,000, Boyle’s ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ has now shifted a total of 2.9 million copies in the States—which puts it just behind the top-selling album of 2009, Taylor Swift’s Fearless (3.1 million). There’s still one more Nielsen SoundScan tracking week to factor in before the industry rings in 2010, and Susan is literally only trailing Taylor by 175,000 copies.
Elsewhere, Young Money—minus the once-planned Lil Wayne Rebirth double package—has a #9 debut with collaboration album We Are Young Money, while Eminem’s Relapse reissue bumps his LP up from #113 to #11.
Meanwhile, things aren’t looking so hot for Robin Thicke and Chris Brown—Sex Therapy: The Session falls from #9 to #30, while Brown’s Graffiti is at #31 in its third week.
Another new Beyonce song has hit the internet today- this one titled ‘Waiting’ produced by Stargate.
