Singer/songwriter Sevyn Streeter gave her first televised performance of her debut single ‘I Like It’ on BET’s Rip The Runway last night (March 20).
The CBE/Atlantic Records recording artist gave an impressive performance amongst various designers outfits on the runway.

Introducing… Sevyn Streeter!
Born Amber Streeter, 26 year-old Sevyn has recently inked a deal with Atlantic Records through Chris Brown‘s CBE label. However, she is no newcommer to the music industry. Originally a member of Chris Stokes‘ group TG4 and producer Rich Harrison‘s group RichGirl, Streeter has also written for the likes of Alicia Keys (she wrote her recent hit single ‘New Day’) Brandy, Trey Songz and her friend and mentor Chris Brown, who has previously stated that Sevyn has “one of the most angelic voices I’ve heard in a long time.”
After a number of years behind the scenes and in groups, Sevyn makes the jump to solo star and is currently hard at work putting the final touches on her debut album, which is due for release later this year. In the meantime she presents her first official single, entitled ‘I Like It.’ The video for which you can watch above. Directorial duties come courtesy of Parris and the track is produced by Harmony BOE which has been described as a “… thrashing anthem ripe with sweeping hooks, blistering vocal runs.”
The track is currently available for download on iTunes in the US. A UK release date has not yet been announced. You can also check out Sevyn’s official website and Twitter.
