Ne-Yo is making his voice heard, just two days after T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., and his wife Tameka Cottle were arrested on drug charges, Ne-Yo has weighed in with his opinion.

I just feel that he makes a lot of poor decisions when it comes to the people that he surrounds himself with,” Ne-Yo shared with the Associated Press on Thursday. He continued, Nine times out of 10 when [T.I.] gets in trouble, it’s not him, it’s the people that he’s with.

T.I. was on three years probation in a previous weapons case, for which he served a seven-month jail term, when the arrest occurred.

In related news Ne-Yo has reunited with Beyonce. The singer-producer tweeted earlier this week that he was about to get in the studio with Queen B to work on a new song for her.

“Mornin’ NY!!! Studio with Mary J Blige last night, Beyonce tonight,” he wrote on Monday.

He then tweeted

Shout out to Beyonce and Shae Taylor for helping me remember who I am. Much needed pep talk. Thanx for being real guys.”

While he didn’t offer any tidbits about the track they were laying down this week in New York, he did tell the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that it will put her Beyoncé on a different level.

It’s another direction for her, and she’s carving out her own niche,” he said. “In a minute nobody will be in Beyonce’s lane. They really can’t get in her lane now, but they really can’t get in her lane after this album.”

Apparently this will serve as Ne-Yo’s next single from his forthcoming album ‘Libra Scale’

Michael Jackson approached Ne-Yo to write him an album’s worth of material shortly before he passed away last summer.

Jackson never had the opportunity to record the tracks but Ne-Yo still wants them to be heard by fans and is hoping to give them to the superstar’s siblings to sing. Ne-Yo tells Britain’s Daily Star,

I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with those songs.  I can’t give them to anybody else because they were written for Michael. That would be disrespectful.So if I could get Janet and the brothers to do a collaborative tribute, that would be a great idea.
There are about 10 he personally selected. He told me, ‘I like this one, this one, this one.’ I can’t just put them out by myself because again they were meant for him but they’re really good songs, it’s good quality music.”

In related news Ne-Yo revealed on Twitter that he will soon be the proud father of a baby girl.

BBC 1xtra’s Max interviewed Ne-Yo whilst he was in the UK last week and in the first part of her interview, Ne-Yo reveals that he is currently going through a situation with Chris Brown and that it was a matter of “people evaluating who their real friends are”
