On May 2, 2012, the Punchbowl team were invited to see A*M*E – a superstar in the making. Signed to Gary Barlow’s label Future and Universal’s Island Records, 17 year old A*M*E is one of the most exciting new pop artists to emerge in the last few years, already co-signed by Popjustice, MTV and if you recall we introduced you to her back in January. On this occasion, A*M*E was support her fellow label mates Lonsdale Boys Club, but that’s not to say she didn’t make her own mark on the evening.

17 year old A*M*E comes to us from Sierra Leone via South London. Having literally just finished school, young A*M*E is ready to launch her pop career. Signed to Future Records (founded by Gary Barlow) A*M*E is gearing to release a taste of what’s to come from her debut album, which is due later this year. A*M*E has already received early praise from Popjustice, who even premiered her first video, City Lights.
‘City Lights‘ was written by her and producer MNEK (responsible for The Saturdays‘ top 5 hit ‘All Fired Up‘) and features his brother, Bartoven. Check out the visual above!
