Mariah Carey stepped out for the first time yesterday, since the birth of her twins two months ago. The diva made her first public appearance as news emerged that she is set to join the new series of X Factor USA as a judge with Simon Cowell. Her role may expand past the judges’ house segment
Simon recently confirmed:
‘I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows. I met her recently and she was on great form…And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with.’

Mariah Carey has been confirmed to join X Factor USA. The diva will assist Simon Cowell in the latter stage of the show. Rumour has it that Simon will fly back to his mansion in the UK to film the segment, where Ms. Carey will help Simon choose his finalists for the American version of the hit show. Sinitta resumed the same role in the UK X Factor.

Nick Cannon Impersonates Mariah Carey in Comedy Show!

Nick Cannon’s upcoming hour long comedy special, “Mr. Showbiz” is set to air this week in the States. The show, which was taped in Las Vegas, sees Nick make fun of the relationship he has with his wife. He reveals that Mariah does infact rule the relationship with an iron fist and makes him abide by her red carpet etiquette.

Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Reveal The Names of Their Twins!

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon have finally revealed the names of their twins who were born on Saturday.
Their son is named Moroccan Scott Cannon and their daughter’s name is Monroe Cannon.
The top-tier of Mariah’s NYC apartment, where Nick also proposed to her, is called the Moroccan room because of its Moroccan-inspired decor. Scott is Nick’s middle name and also the maiden name of his grandmother.
Monroe is named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Mariah her whole life. Monroe doesn’t have a middle name as Mariah doesn’t have one either.
We can’t wait to see how cute Moroccan and Monroe are!

New parents, Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey were spotted getting some last minute pampering before the arrival of their twins, last Friday in California. Mariah looked ready to pop as she walked out of the luxury Terranea Resort followed closely by her husband. Mariah finally gave birth to a boy and a girl last Saturday.

Mariah Carey is showing the world how proud and happy she is to be pregnant by posing nude on the front cover of “Life & Style Weekly”.
Carey commented: ‘I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience…My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans…The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable…Especially the girl; clearly she’s a diva in training. We didn’t start shooting until 1:30 a.m. because I was in the hospital from the night before until the day of the shoot with contractions five minutes apart.’
Carey is due to give birth later this month.

L.A. Reid Steps Down From Def Jam Position

It’s official – L.A. Reid has stepped down from his chairman position at Island Def Jam.
This will give him time to concentrate on his role as a judge on X Factor.
Mariah Carey will apparently be leaving Def Jam to join L.A. at Sony in 2012.

The singer, who wore a Roberto Cavalli dress for the occasion, is seen taking pride of place in a plush chair while he rhusband places his hands on her growing baby bump.

“It’s all about pink and blue these days…It’s truly going to be a dream come true for them. They get a son and daughter.”
Mariah herself gushed:
“Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything gender-neutral because I didn’t want to impose an identity on them too soon…There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls — but nobody guessed this!”
