The show drew a stellar cast of high-profile figures and celebrities including Samantha Cameron, The First Secretary of State, Lord Mandelson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Liv Tyler, Emma Watson, and Mary Kate Olsen, Alexa Chung, Agyness Deyn and the top of the world’s fashion press, including American Vogue’s Anna Wintour, French Vogue’s Carine Roitfeld and Glenda Bailey of American Harper’s Bazaar.
The collection, for spring/summer 2010, was designed by Christopher Bailey, the Yorkshireman who is credited for turning Burberry into a luxury status brand.
With London Fashion Week drawing to a close and most models now headed to Milan for the penultimate leg of Fashion Week (before Paris), the last day promises to end with a bang.
The Burberry Spring Summer 2010 womenswear show celebrates 25 years of London Fashion Week with the British Fashion Council and the show will feature the longest catwalk at LFW of 40m and the longest front row.
In addition, for the first time, the Burberry show will be streamed live directly from the show space in London at live.burberry.com where online viewers worldwide will be able to share personal comments on the collection.
With an afterparty set to take place at the recently opened Burberry Global Headquarters at Horseferry house, designed by Christopher Bailey, Burberry Creative Director, and with Brit model Agyness Deyn and TV presenter Alexa Chungboth confirmed to DJ, this will be an event not to be missed.
The Make up| When she arrived in the VIP section she was immediately shown support from fellow friends and celebs like Michelle Williams and Ortise from pop group JLS who all had deep conversations with Keisha sharing words of encouragment. Estelle who had been DJ’ing at the event at the Old Sorting Offices in New Oxford Street later went on to have a friendly chat with Buchanan who looked stunning dressed in all black.
The Hype| PunchBowl Blog also received word from her new team that she will be back with a bang once everything dies down and a thanks to her fans for their continued support. We personally can’t wait to hear new stuff from Keisha!
Sir Philip Green threw a star-studded, A-list-only party to celebrate London Fashion Week last night. The likes of Simon Cowell, Anna Wintour [Wintours first visit to London Fashion Week since 2007], Henry Holland, Simon and Yasmin Le Bon, Harold Tilman, David Walliams, Kelly Brook , Christopher Bailey and Vivienne Westwood [Westwood also held a runway show earlier] all attended The Topshop Cocktail Reception and Dinner at The Ivy restaurant. The fashion calendar’s biggest bash of the year also saw supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell temporarily reunited. Earlier in the day Kate Moss attended the Topshop runway show with Sir Philip Green and Green’s eighteen year old daughter Chloe, Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts and Alexa Chung also attended. Where as Naomi Cambell modelled for the second year running for Issa earlier in the day. See pictures of both below.

The Buzz| Day 2 of London Fashion Week and the hottest ticket in town was for the PPQ fashion show. Founded in 1992 by design duo Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker, PPQ is a UK fashion brand that has an enviable trendy following among the London cool set owing in part to its bold and distinct prints/colours and a lot to its celebrity following. Held in the Red Bull Fashion Factory, the Spring Summer 2010 collection was inspired by their take on the ‘Good Corporate Citizen’.
The Make Up| With there being a noticeable absence of black girls on the main London Fashion Week shows, PPQ decided to go against the grain and use all black models for their show. The collection was a mix of textured print dresses, cobwed stripy knits and floor length sweeping gowns that had the fashionably dressed front row of Alexa Chung, Peaches Geldof and Michelle Williams energetically cheering at the end.
The Hype| Featuring some of our favourite models Sessilee Lopez and Sigail Currie, the show was the first time there had been an all black girl line up for a London Fashion Week show in it’s 25 year history. BRAVO
The Buzz| When it was announced that Jourdan Dunn was pregnant, the whole fashion world collectively gasped in shock. However talk of Dunn’s demise has been greatly exaggerated as with her baby due in December and her scheduled to walk in several London Fashion Week shows, the 19 year old model is still very much in demand.
The Make Up| Her latest editorial is in the October issue of US Vogue where she appears alongside her model chum Chanel Iman modelling this seasons long sleeved print dresses trend. Shot by Craig McDean and styled by Tabitha Simmons, the editorial is bold and elegant.
