Jennifer Lopez attended the American Idol press conference and revealed why she almost didn’t return to the hit show. She said:
“I got a little bit tired at the end with everything going on in my life at the time”
J-Lo recently split with her husband Marc Anthony. The singer and actress then went on to say that she realized that Idol was “one of the best things I’ve ever been involved with” and that her fellow judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and host Ryan Seacrest helped her decide. After months of speculation, Jennifer Lopez has officially signed up for her second season of American Idol. Speaking of her return, show creator Simon Fuller said:
“Having both Jennifer and Steven return to Idol in 2012 alongside Randy is such a positive reflection on what was a wonderful and hugely successful season last year, and everyone is delighted.”

Jennifer Lopez has given Vanity Fair her first interview since announcing her split from husband Marc Anthony.
Speaking about her marriage breakdown, the American idol judge said:
“This was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to face,” said the 42-year-old. “I really wanted this family to work. That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn’t work – and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love…It’s still my biggest dream.”
“I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer.” She added, “We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic – and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children.”

Happy birthday to Jennifer Lopez who is celebrating her 42nd birthday today. The diva was papped in Miami on her way to dinner with her entourage, including powerhouse manager, Benny Medina. Lopez is currently in Miami and will be spending her birthday weekend without her husband, Marc Anthony, who she split from after 7 years of marriage recently.
