Glastonbury 2011| Janelle Monae Performs!
by on 26/06/2011US artist Janelle Monae took to the Glastonbury stage to perform an energetic set. It’s lucky she made it as the ‘Tightrope’ singer had a little trouble en route to the festival. On Twitter she said:
“On the way to Glastonbury fest our tour bus caught on fire. No one is hurt. So thankful. We needed that Glastonbury performance so Thank u.”

Black Eyed Peas To Headline Wireless Festival!

Black Eyed Peas are to play a headline appearance at the Wireless Festival.
The group will play the event in Hyde Park, London on Friday July 1.
Topping the bill on Saturday night will be The Chemical Brothers while Sunday’s big name act, Pulp, who are reforming after many years, were announced late last year. They will play the Sunday night of the event on July 3.
Wireless will be the only British festival appearance by Black Eyed Peas.
They will be joined on the bill by leading UK artists including Tinie Tempah and Plan B.
Support acts for the Saturday show include Chase & Status, Aphex Twin, Janelle Monae and Battles.
Tickets for Wireless With Barclaycard – will go on sale on Friday at www.wirelessfestival.co.uk.

The iconic Cher was honoured with a lifetime achievement award at the event and entertainment was brought by the always amazing Janelle Monae.

Hosted by Alicia herself, this event takes place in New York and in London and has raised over $10 million since 2004.
Guests included Uma Thurman, Maxwell, Usher, Whitney Houston, Beyonce and more.
Jay-Z, Janelle Monae and Sade all performed. Alicia Keys joined Sade for a rendition of ‘Stronger Than Pride’
