Rumour has it that Nadine Coyle will be re-recording a song that Jade Ewen previously recorded for her shelved solo debut album. “Wake Up” is a beautiful ballad that ended up on the cutting room floor after Jade joined the Sugababes at the end of last year.
Jade commented:
“I don’t know how I’ll feel when I hear it…It will be weird but I guess it will be like when Keisha would have listened to the stuff I re-recorded.”

Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh had a mini Girls Aloud reunion last night in London.
Cheryl Cole was a absentee as she is currently holidaying in LA but Nadine who has been in London since last week was nowhere to be seen during last night’s celebrations of Nicola’s Dainty Doll make-up line launch.
Girls Aloud member, Nicola Roberts re-launched her “Dainty Doll” make-up range at Harrods earlier today. The singer showed her entrepreneurial side after spending thee past 18 months developing the range that was initially launched as part of her ITV show “The Passions of Girls Aloud”.
Nicola explained: ‘The reason behind me doing this is because I had a point of difference and that was because of the pale skin and it was something I obviously felt really passionate about…I was aware that there weren’t many make up brands that catered for women for extra pale skin so I feel proud that I’ve been the person to do it.’
The range is exclusive to Harrods but will be rolled out across the UK later in the year.
Girls Aloud member, Nadine Coyle flew back to the UK last week, from her home in Los Angeles to finalise her much-hyped solo deal. After months of negotiaions, Coyle walked out of her initial deal with Geffen Records over rumours of creative control and has now signed a deal with supermarket chain, Tesco!
Bizarrely, the Irish beauty will only be releasing her upcoming debut album exclusively in Tesco’s stores, thus allowing her 100% creative control over the project.
Coyle has worked with Robbie Williams collaborator, Guy Chambers and Madonna’s one-time producer, William Orbit on her solo debut.
The news means that Coyle has her sights firmly set on her solo career rather than that of her Girls Aloud members.
It will be interesting to see if the group will plough ahead and carry on without Nadine, or if this latest project will further delay the girls’ reunion…
Apparently Sarah Harding, Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts and Kymberly Walsh have begun sketching ideas for their comeback – but bandmate Nadine Coyle does not figure in their plans.
A source said:
It’s been a painful decision for Sarah, Nicola, Kimberley and Cheryl but they have decided that the future of Girls Aloud lies without Nadine.They’ve all been on a roller-coaster ride since 2002 and have just grown apart from Nadine. Relations with her had been strained within the camp for a while. Disputes began cropping up towards the final days of the band before they went on a hiatus. The four remaining girls want to return on their own terms – and avoiding any squabbles is a high priority. That’s why they have decided to go on without Nadine.”
Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle has not spoken to the rest of the band for months, Nicola Roberts said in a magazine interview.
While Nicola insisted there was no feud between LA-based Nadine and the rest of the group, she told Hello! that they have not heard from her since the band have taken time off to pursue solo projects.
Roberts said: “If I’m really honest, we haven’t spoken to Nadine since we did the Coldplay gig at Wembley in September. I talked to the other girls about it on Monday and no, none of us have heard from her. But there’s no feud.”
The time off has given the 24-year-old Nicola the chance to have “girlie chats” while visiting the other band members’ houses – Roberts now lives in Weybridge, Surrey.
She said: “You can just go round, curl up in your tracksuit bottoms on the couch and chill and talk about anything and everything. Cheryl and I have decided that next time I go round hers, we’ll recreate the Lady Gaga video for ‘Telephone’. Cheryl’s going to be Beyonce and I’ll be Gaga. It’ll be hilarious.”
Roberts, who lives with boyfriend Charlie Fennell, said the women’s partners have to earn the approval of the other band members.
“We’re like that film ‘Meet The Fockers’ – we have a circle of trust and you have to earn your place in it. I wouldn’t ever want to bring someone in just because I was smitten; lust can glaze your eyes over and you can make poor judgments.”
She also hit out at criticism that she has become too thin.
“I am naturally very slim and saying someone is too skinny when they’re naturally slim is just as offensive as saying they’re fat when they’re a bit plumper.”

The NOTW are reporting that Girls Aloud are considering continuing as a quartet without Nadine Coyle.
A source revealed:
“The girls always had the end of 2010 booked in to record their next album and all of them, other than Nadine, still want to go ahead.
“If Nadine refuses they could simply go ahead as the four of them. It’s not ideal and they would rather find a way to make it work, but she doesn’t seem to be interested in that…Nadine is essentially mucking the other girls around. They are ready and waiting. But it’s become clear to us her heart doesn’t seem to be in the band.”
Earlier this month Nadine took to Twitter to shut down rumours of a feud between her and Cheryl.

Speaking to Q magazine, she recalls her feud with Lily Allen: ‘She called my husband “horrendous”. ’Then she called Nicola “ugly”. For another female artist to call you ugly is so awful. Nicola’s been called ‘ginger’ all her life, then she makes something of herself and everyone calls her the “ugly one”.’I feel very protective of her and if that means I’m going to call Lily ‘whatever’, then I don’t care.’
Cheryl also revealed that she initially thought Lily was being ‘complimentary’ in her 2006 B-Side track Cheryl Tweedy (Tweedy being Cheryl’s maiden name).
The lyrics included the chorus: ‘I wish my life was a little less seedy / Why am I always so greedy? / Wish I looked just like Cheryl Tweedy.’ But Lily later commented: ‘I was being ironic. Nobody wants to look like that.’

The girls celebrated at Sarah Hardings nightclub Kanaloa, others on the guest list included tSugagabes, Ashely Cole who accompanied his wife straight from X Factor and Brian Freidman.
