If you think this is the year George Clooney will finally settle down, don’t hold your breath.
In an interview on ”Piers Morgan Tonight,” he told both Morgan and his own father that his one marriage, to actress Talia Balsam that ended in 1993, was enough.
Morgan pointed out that George’s father, Nick, who appeared on the show with him, had “one of the great marriages.” Nick Clooney has been married to his wife, Nina — George’s mother — for more than 50 years. Morgan asked whether, as a parent, Nick was “yearning for the moment” his son would walk down the aisle.
Nick Clooney turned to his son and said, “I want you to think about that. I want you to think about — we’ve been married — Nina and I’ve been married 51 years.”
“I hate to blow your whole news story,” said the younger Clooney, “but I was married, so I gave it a shot.”
Clooney said the “shot” he gave marriage ought to have “proven how good I was at it.”
Clooney also told Morgan he contracted malaria while in Sudan, but said he’s no longer infected with the disease, and even made light of the situation, saying, “Even with malaria, it’s just good fun.” Clooney, who has been infected with malaria twice, joked, “I guess the mosquito in Juba looked at me and thought I was the bar.
Jennifer Aniston’s Friends-era haircut had plenty of fans and it’s own nickname but the actress was definitely not one of them.
“Let’s just say there have been moments I’d rather not relive, like that whole Rachel thing, I love Chris [McMillan, her hairstylist], and he’s the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look. How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen. What I really want to know is, how did that thing have legs?”
Another thing that baffles Aniston? ABC’s reality competition, The Bachelor.
“I was mesmerized by these girls, they meet this guy, they have three dates together or something, and they’re weeping as though they’ve just lost the love of their life,” she tells the mag. “I don’t understand that.”
The actress instead recalls the hey-dey of Friends and it’s fellow NBC juggernaut, ER.
“Look at Baby George, Baby Clooney. ER was right next door to us on the soundstage. That was really fun. I remember when we used to do crossovers like that. See, NBC used to be really cool. Then, you know…”

Clooney and Grant Heslov’s ‘Smoke House Pictures’ and Leonardo DiCaprio’s ‘Appian Way Productions’ will produce the film.

Matt Damon was honoured by the American Cinematheque for his contributions to cinema.
The event, held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, included a whole host of stars paying tribute such as Clint Eastwood, George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Charlize Theron, Jimmy Kimmel, Jennifer Garner, and, of course, longtime friend Ben Affleck.
Matt was roasted by his peers. Jimmy Kimmel mocked the actor saying:
This is ridiculous giving salute to someone under 40.Next year let’s give it to Vanessa Hudgens. I don’t have much to say about Matt Damon, just like he didn’t have much to say in Oceans 11, 12 and 13.’
But Damon made a few jokes himself and said on stage:
To get this award from Ben, my ‘hetero-lifemate’, I can honestly say that next year at this time I think there’s a good chance that Ben will be here – presenting this award to someone else.’
Although the 39-year-old with stood a barrage of jibes, the glitzy event did include some serious messages of thanks for his contribution to the film industry and humanitarian work.
Former US President Bill Clinton also gave a recorded tribute and said:
I hope Matt’s selfless work will inspire all of us to do more and give more with that same compassion, dedication and perseverance that Matt demonstrates every day.’
Two of Hollywood’s most sought after leading men are back this summer with new movies.

‘The American’ stars Clooney as a professional assassin who heads to the Italian countryside after a job went badly. Friday nights ‘Hope For Haiti’ telethon has raised more than 58 million dollars for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
George Clooney, who organised the event, said: “At the core of every religion is the belief that we care for one another, we take care of each other especially in times of need.
“The Haitian people need our help, they need to know they’re not alone, they need to know that that we still care.”
George Clooneypledged $1 million of his own money as well as Leonardo DiCaprio.
Sales from iTunes and corporate/large private donations have not yet been added to the $58 million total.
Prince William has given people an insight into what music he listens to.
The second in line to the throne was meeting youths at the Ted Noffs Foundation in Sydney when the Australian Prime Minister asked the 27-year-old about his music tastes.
According tonews.com.au, William responded: “Mine’s very varied – I like rock, Linkin Park… Kanye West. I normally get the piss taken out of me, for my choice of music”
”I can’t do any beatboxing, I’m not so good at that,” he added.
As very A-list stars begin lining up like planes on a runway for Friday’s big Haiti telethon organized by Mr. George Clooney, sources tell me one celebrity was definitely not invited — Kayne West.
“After what he said on the Katrina telethon and the way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards, everyone agrees it’s just best that he does not participate,” a producing partner told me. “Kayne has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and, well, this night it’s just not about him.”
I’m afraid I have to agree … and now it seems that Taylor Swift will be joining the fund raiser. There’s another reason Kanye will be watching from a couch instead of being on stage.
We think Kanye should be invited, the more people to help the better… it’s time to forgive and forget all ready!
