The worlds of fashion and music collide often and is set to continue this summer with the news that Frida Giannini, Creative Director of Gucci will be dressing Florence + The Machine lead singer, Florence Welch during their North American tour.
The Gucci designer based its 2011 Autumn winter collection on Florence who herself is known for her unique style and music. Sketches below.
With the MTV Video Music Awards just around the corner, it has been announced that rapper Eminem will open the show.
The star, who is on his ‘Home and Home’ Tour at the moment, will launch the award show’s 27th year.
MTV general manager, Stephen Friedman told The Associated Press:
We thought that there’s no better way to kick off the show than a performance form Eminem.”
Performances from Kanye West, Drake, Mary J. Blige, Usher and Justin Bieber, will also take place on Sunday’s show.

The uber-talented Florence from Florence & The Machine passed by billboard.com to record this breath-taking rendition of Mario Winans’ Number 1 hit “I Don’t Wanna Know” for their “Mash Up” series.
UK’s NME magazine have relaunched with ten different covers featuring stars’ Jack White, Rihanna, Kasabian, Foals, MIA, Magnetic Man, Florence + the Machine, LCD Soundsystem, Laura Marling and Biffy Clyro.

T4′s Stars of 2009 took place in London’s Earls Court earlier today with a star-studded line up.
The event celebrated the best acts of 2009 and saw the likes of Tinchy Stryder, JLS, Chipmunk, Alexandra Burke, Sugababes, La Roux, N-Dubz, Florence & The Machine and lots more take to the stage.

Florence + The Machine, La Roux, Pixie Lott, The Saturdays and Tinchy Stryder will go head to head to compete for the Best UK and Ireland New Act award at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards.
The Awards will air live from Berlin’s 02 World Arena at 9pm on November 5 and will be sponsored by Sony Ericsson.
The winner of Best UK & Ireland New Act will be selected by MTV viewers when voting goes live online on www.mtvema.com from today until October.
