David Guetta’s new album, Nothing But The Beat debuted at #2 on the UK Album Chart today (with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers clinching the top spot). The release of Nothing But The Beat marks a busy period for the popular dance DJ/Producer who played to a sold out crowd at last weeks Creamfields Festival at the Daresbury Estate in Cheshire. Thanks to HTC, Punchbowl Blog were there to witness Guetta spectacular headlining set where he played through some of his biggest tunes from the Rihanna assisted Who’s That Chick to the Flo-rida and Nicki Minaj featured Where Them Girls At. Check out performance footage filmed on the latest mobile by HTC below.
David Guetta, Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida took to the America’s Got Talent stage to perform ‘Where Dem Girls At’. The track is from Guetta’s latest album Nothing but the Beat.
Rapper Flo-Rida has been arrested for a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) after being pulled over by police who noticed him swerving in his lane while driving in Miami Beach, Florida.
According to TMZ, once Flo-Rida stepped out of his Bugatti, officers smelled alcohol on his breath and he was taken to the station and reportedly booked for the DUI and driving with a suspended license. Allegedly, the rapper’s blood alcohol levels were double the legal limit.
The sample bandwagon continues with the new releases from Flo Rida & Dizzee Rascal.
Both artists have taken classic dance anthems and re-worked them.
Flo Rida’s “Touch Me” uses Benny Benassi’s 2003 huge dance hit “Satisfaction”, whilst Dizzee samples the 1988 dance hit “Dirty Cash” by DJ outfit, “The Adventures of Stevie v” – one of the standout singles from his 4th studio album, “Tongue n’ Cheek” .
