Example held of stiff competition from Calvin Harris and managed to retain the number one spot on the singles charts with Changed the Way You Kiss Me. Calvin Harris’ Bounce which features Kelis had to make do with the number two spot after temporarily hitting number one in midweek sales. Other new entries included Ed Sheeran with The A Team and Dappy and Tinchy Stryder’s Spaceship.
Take That returned to the top spot with their album Progress, jumping 10 places to knock Artic Monkey’s Suck it and See down to number 2. Other new entries in the album chart include Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 aka Bad Meets Evil at number 7 with Hell – The Sequel.

Twitter got heated today as a war of words erupted beteen Example, Alexandra Burke and Rochelle from The Saturdays.
It all kicked off after Example slated Alexandra’s music and offered to write her new material.

Midweek Charts: Example Heading for #1!

Example is currently placed at number 1 in the midweek charts with his single Changed the Way You Kiss Me, pushing Pitbull’s Give Me Everything down to the number 2 spot. This will be the Londoner’s first number 1 if he makes it through to Sunday.
On the album charts, Lady Gaga is replaced by Arctic Monkeys in the top spot with their album Suck it And See.
