Super Producer Dr Luke (Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Taio Cruz) has come under fire from Lady Gaga fans after tweeting that Lady Gaga may have borrowed the backing to her track “Judas” from little know singer Loli Lux’s “Wannabe”. He tweeted:
damn, Did @Ladygaga swipe this song? Pretty damn similar to Judas
Click under the cut to take a listen to both and decide for yourself…
This isn’t the first time Gaga has been accused of ripping off someone’s song. The star was accused of copying Madonna’s “Express Yourself” when she initially released “Born This Way”.
During a interview with Rap-Up today Jessie J revealed a few more details about the track she is writing for Britney Spears.
I am going in the studio tomorrow to try and write a song for Britney, I was sent a backing track for her album and they specifically asked me to write on it, so I’m going to go in the studio on my night off. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to crack it. It’s a very U.K. kinda sound, which is why I think they want me to write it. I’m gonna put a little Jessie J spin on it and get Britney singing about grabbing her crotch. You never know.”
She also said Dr. Luke is not the producer of the track , saying:
“It’s not who people expect it to be. It’s good, it’s very good.”
A new single from Britney Spears will come out in early 2011. According to Entertainment Weekly, the new song titled “Hold It Against Me” will be premiered on January 7.
Sharon Dastur, program director for New York’s Z100, spilled the beans to the magazine.
The track is produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin and according to Dastur:
The beat that they give her is really unique compared to other artists – this infectious bass beat beneath the song. Plus, the hook is just amazing.”
Britney Spears has been woking on her seventh studio album, which will be released March 2011 and executive produced by hitmakers Max Martin and Dr. Luke.
The lyrics to the new song, which is REPORTEDLY called ‘Hold It Against Me’ and will serve as Britney’s first single has been making the rounds on the Internet.
