Azealia Banks took to Twitter to announce that she has been forced to delay her much anticipated ’1991′ EP.
In a series of tweets, Banks also announced that she has hired new management and is looking to ‘vamp up’ her music, stating:
“For all you asking “1991″ is getting delayed.. AGAIN. :(#newartistproblems“
“I just switched management.. Literally like three days ago, and have a whole new set of resources to take advantage of.”
“We’re gonna vamp this up and make it official.. No more ghetto mixes and closet recording.. I have a budget now!#brokewithexpensivetaste”
To compensate for not being able to release her new EP, Banks offered her fans a fan made mixtape titled ‘Before The Expensive Taste’, which is a collection of music which is already available on the internet. You can download it for free here.
The ’1991′ EP was originally set for release today (April 17). A new release date has not yet been announced.
