Alexander McQueen’s last collection took place during a private fashion show in Paris earlier today. The models paraded the catwalk to the same classical music that McQueen listened to during hours of fittings & cuttings.
The upcoming Autumn 2010 collection was of couture quality, which is the way Mr. McQueen had been moving his signature line.

Kanye West updated his new site with this heart felt and nostalgic post about his classic debut album ‘College Dropout’ as well as touching on the loss of his mum and the iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
Naomi Campbell held her ‘Fashion For Relief’ runway show for Haiti in London tonight.
Fellow super model Kate Moss joined Campbell for the good cause.
Of the cause, Naomi told press, “I am deeply saddened by the recent tragedy in Haiti. So many have been killed and severely affected by the earthquake - women and children in particular are most vulnerable in disasters. Fashion is universal, personal and touches everyone. Our aim is to use this year’s London Fashion Week catwalk to reach people and help raise crucial funds to help save the lives of women and children.”
Celebrity models on the night included James Corden, David Walliams, Piers Morgan, Yasmin, Amber le Bon, Ronnie Corbett, Alexandra Burke, Mr Hudson, Erin O’Connor, Jade Parfitt, Jo Wood, Annabelle Neilson, Freddie Flintoff, Amanda Holden, Eva Herzigova, Girls Aloud Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts and Geri Halliwell.
Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss opened the show in McQueen spring/summer 2010 as a tribute to the late fashion icon.
Naomi Campbell Fashion for Relief runway showtook place tonight. Not only did she get some of the biggest names in the fashion world— Helena Christensen, Selita Ebanks, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs’ fiance, Lorenzo Martone and Agyness Deyn —to participate, but she called some of her celebrity pals as well.
Kelly Osbourne, Malin Ackerman, Alan Cumming, Sarah Ferguson and Estelle walked catwalk but it was Chris Brown in a tux that had the audience going wild.
Even Victoria Beckham was in attendance wearing “Help Heal Haiti” t-shirt for the gathering.
Rachel Zoe pulled together the 92 looks that filled the show, including the moving finale tribute to Alexander McQueen that saw the most famous models gathering at the end of the runway and holding back tears.
Not all was smooth sailing though, Agyness Deyn triped over when she was walking down the catwalk.
While Deyn grinned with embarrassment, the several hundred-deep crowd cheered her on, as she got back up.
Then, much to the dismay of the audience and Deyn, she fell again a few steps later, finally resolving the issue by taking off her Burberry heels and walking the rest of the way barefoot.
A couple of hours after the show Deyn Tweeted: 1st show of fashion week! Took a tumble! Got up! Fell again. Should have stayed down the 1st time. Twice! WTF! Ouch my knees!
In related news Chatrlotte Ronson also did her good deed by delaying her show so ‘Fashion For Relief’ could have prime time at the tent. Daniel Merriweather, Justin Theroux, Matt Dillon, Whitney Port and Peaches Geldof all attended the Charlotte Ronson show.

Lady Gaga paid tribute to her close friend and designer icon, Alexander McQueen by posting this intimate photo of them on her Twitter. Gaga was the late designer’s unofficial muse and was often pictured on the red carpet and in his videos dressed in his designs.

British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead after taking his own life. Alexander was 40 years old.
A source at McQueen’s office this afternoon confirmed his death, saying: ‘It is a tragic loss. We are not making a comment at this time out of respect for the McQueen family.’
His death comes just days before the start of London Fashion Week and weeks before he was due to unveil his new collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 9. Sources are saying he was grieving for his mum Joyce, who died last week. On Sunday he wrote on Twitter, “Sunday evening been a fucking awful week but my friends have been great but now i have to some how pull myself together.”
We would like to send out our condolences to McQueen’s family and friends.

Lady Gaga’s music goes hand in hand with her fashion. It would be very hard to imagine her doing one without the other and thanks to a series of daring outfits and crazy hairstyles she has shown herself to be in a league of her own. Fashion houses love her and during Marc Jacobs Spring Summer 2010 show in New York her late arrival caused a paparazzi frenzy while in Paris, she premiered her new single Bad Romance at the end of Alexander McQueen’s spectacular collection.
Her work with stylist Nicola Formichetti has given her a distinct look and in Bad Romance they’ve drawn inspiration from obscure, relatively unknown designers to major fashion houses and even her own Haus of Gaga label.

The Make Up| To say that the British born designers show was flawlessly executed would be an understatement and audiences where presented with a collection that saw models seemingly morph into their reptilian- printed, short and aqua patterned fabrics. The heels served as another talking point with one critic describing it as “grotesque” and is sure to the THE must-have item for 2010 given its sheer inventiveness and intricacy of its manufacture.
