Already regular on the Fashion Week circuit where her steely gaze and luminous walk has made her instantaneously recognizable, Georgie Baddiel has transferred these skills into print for high fashion mag Let Them Eat Cake. Shot by Toshio Onda, Baddiel nails this shoot and though her editorials appearances so far have been sporadic, we have a feeling that there’s a lot more to come from the Burkina Faso born model.

THIS IS THE PHOTO BOOK FROM THE GLOW IN DARK TOUR. NABIL CAPTURED THE EXPERIENCE LIKE CRAZY! WHEN I LOOK AT THE PHOTOS IT BRINGS ME RIGHT BACK TO THAT TIME! IT’S VERY EMOTIONAL FOR ME BECAUSE I DIDN’T WANT TO HAVE TO TOUR BUT MY PAIN BROUGHT MY GREATEST CREATION TO DATE. THANK YOU TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME TO THE SHOWS AND EXPERIENCED THIS MOMENT IN TIME WITH ME!
Wale just released another track to the internets via his twitter page. On ‘Bitersweet‘ he adapted ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ and this time he uses the chorus from the Lenny Kravitz ‘Fly Away’

An Australian talent show has hit the headlines globally for all the wrong reasons.
The producers and host have been accused of blatant racism after allowing a blackface “tribute” Jackson Five act to take part. American guest judge, Harry Connick Jr took great offense to the act “Jackson Jive” and awarded the group zero points.
After the break, the host was forced to apologise and Connick Jr spoke out on behalf of his nation;
“We have spent so much time trying to not make black people look like buffoons…If I knew that was going to be part of the show I definitely wouldn’t have done it”.
What do you guys make of this issue?
Should the show be cancelled or should this “slip-up” be excused for a racial lack of understanding?
President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize today for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,”
“Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the committee said. “His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world’s population.”
The committee said it attached special importance to Obama’s vision of, and work for, a world without nuclear weapons.
“Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play,” the committee said.
PunchBowlBlog also received this statement from Nelson Mandela;
The Nelson Mandela Foundation, on behalf of its Founder Nelson Mandela, welcomes the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to President Barack Obama. We trust that this award will strengthen his commitment, as the leader of the most powerful nation in the world, to continue promoting peace and the eradication of poverty.
Though it seems too early for Obama to receive the prestigious award we would like to say congratulations to President Obama.
