Jay-Z made a guest appearance at LIV nightclub last Sunday to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated joint Kanye West album, ‘Watch the Throne’.
During the night, Jay-Z bought US$250,000 worth of Armand de Brignac Champagne, setting the record for the most amount of Armand de Brignac bottles bought at the club, a record previously held by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who’d bought Armand de Brignac when his team won the NBA championships earlier this year.
Four men ensured Jay was never short of supply as they carried out champagne in a Roman Litter – a one-off, handcrafted golden icebucket that holds 20 regular-sized bottles or one of the Champagne brand’s record-breaking 30L Midas bottles – the largest luxury Champagne bottle in the world.
Other guests at the club that night include Kim Porter, Larry Johnson, Meek Mill, Flo Rida, Daddy Yankee and DJ Clue

Famed singer, songwriter, producer and ex-member of 4 Non Blondes, Linda Perry, was interviewed recently about Adele and Katy Perry. Linda made it clear that she wasn’t a fan of Kerry’s music and labelled her album “crap”.
“It’s the crappy, like who wants a fucking Katy Perry record? I’m sorry. You know, you’re gonna get the two songs that are probably the hits that are good but the rest of the album is gonna be crap. It is, it’s gonna sound like shit and who cares about buying that record? So people download the single and then that’s it.
And not saying that Katy’s bad, I mean she’s great for what she does but she’s not reinventing the wheel, she’s not giving substance, she’s giving you know microwave popcorn for you to feast on right at this moment, you know. And that’s it and that’s what she wants to do obviously: she’s not looking to change the world musically, she’s not, you know, so all the power to her and everybody who is like that. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m saying it’s not what I participate in and that is the reason why the music business is in turmoil so to say.”
