Eminem, who is nominated for a staggering eight awards at this year’s festivities, joins fellow performers Drake, B.o.B, Usher, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber.
The 2010 VMAs, hosted by Chelsea Handler, will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Sunday, September 12, at 9 p.m.

Eminem has announced plans to perform at the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards. To be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12 at 9PM ET, Eminem has accepted MTV’s invite as he continues to promote his latest album, ‘Recovery’. With Chelsea Handler set to host, stars slated to dish out awards to the winners include Ashley Greene, Selena Gomez, Penn Badgley, Ke$ha and Nick Minaj, amongst many others. Late-night show personality and bestselling author Chelsea Handler hopes to bring pop starlet Taylor Swift and Kanye West together when she hosts this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Since Kanye interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech last year, the two haven’t been around each other–mostly because West went on hiatus, opting not to attend illustrious events like the Grammys. But now that he’s back and a performer at the forthcoming awards, Handler wants to change that.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his On-Air radio show yesterday to promote the event, Handler said:
I’d like to get them [Swift and West] together. Because you’ve never really seen them together since then. They were supposed to be on SNL, but then that didn’t end up happening. I don’t know. We’ll try and think of something clever to do with them, because that would be really fun. Everyone loves Taylor Swift, and Kanye’s Kanye.”

MTV have invited Kanye West back to perform at this year’s Video Music Awards
A year after infamously interrupting Taylor Swifton stage, Kanye West is set to return to the MTV Video Music Awards, UsMagazine.com has learned.
A source tells Us West, 33, is performing on the show, airing Sept. 12.
The Grammy-winning rapper’s untitled fifth studio album is expected to drop in November. He debuted the “painting” for the first single, ‘Power,’ last Thursday, and a follow-up single is also expected to be released in the next three weeks.
The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, at 9 p.m.

It is now official Kanye Will be performing at the award show, Drake and Florence and The Machine have also been anounced as performers.
While Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley,Trey Songz, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo have all been confirmed to present Moonmen awards at the show.

MTV Video Music Awards have revealed the first batch of performers for this year’s Video Music Awards.
Katy Perry, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Usher, Pink and 30 Seconds to Mars are lined up for the celebration.
All of the newly-announced musical guests score multiple nominations at the September 12 event. Perry is vying for Best Female Video and Best Pop Video, 30 Seconds to Mars receive four nods including a bid in Best Direction, and Pink gets two nominations in Best Direction and Best Editing.
Usher, meanwhile, is up for Best Male Video, Best Dance Music Videoand Best Choreography. Jay-Z and Keys’ duet in “Empire State of Mind” appears in three categories; Best Collaboration, Best Cinematography and Best Direction. In addition, Jay-Z is competing for another prize for Best Hip-Hop Video.

Lady Gaga has been nominated for a record-breaking 13 MTV Video Music Awards.
The Alejandro singer received the most nominations ever in a single year, earning nods in the Best Collaboration and Best Choreography categories, while Bad Romance and Telephone both made it into the shortlists for Video Of The Year.
I’m so honored for all the little monsters and self-professed freaks of the universe, to have more VMA nominations in a single year than any artist in MTV history,” said Gaga in a statement. ”Ironically, I’m even more proud it’s an unlucky number; 13.
Eminem leads the nominated male artists with eight VMA nods — including Video of the Year and Best Male Video — for his ‘Not Afraid’ visual.
Apparently MTV doesn’t care that I have two massive stadium shows on the other side of the country the day after the VMA’s. F me, right?!?! I mean, I’ll be there but don’t expect me to be nice about it.”
The 2010 VMAs will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater on Sept. 12. Voting for general VMA categories starts today at vma.mtv.com.

Over 200 entries were whittled down to the final 12, which include chart veteran Paul Weller, Dizzee Rascal won his first mercury in 2003 for debut album Boy in Da Corner and soulful songstresse

It has been reported that Chris Brown will be performing at the BET Awards Sunday in a special tribute to his icon Michael Jackson.
Brown was supposed to pay tribute to Jackson during last year’s BET Award show but the planned performance was pulled by the network last minute without explanation.
