Despite leaving her management company earlier this week, it appears to be business as usual for Leona Lewis with the release of a brand new album later this year.
Lewis released her third studio album ‘Glassheart’ in October of 2012, which debuted at number three in the official album charts in the UK. However, on Wednesday, it was announced that she had split amicably with her management company of six years, Modest! and is seeking new management in the US.
“I greatly enjoyed my time working with Modest! and I’m very proud of all the things we achieved together. I would like to thank them for all their hard work and support over the years. They played an important role in my career and I’ll always be grateful to them. I’m looking forward to a new chapter in my career.”
Since then, a spokesperson from Syco has announced that Lewis is expected to release a new album this year.
“Leona Lewis is one of the UK’s most successful artists, one of a few that have enjoyed huge global success in recent year selling more then 20 million records worldwide.
“Leona will begin the recording of her fourth album imminently to be released later this year. She remains a key priority artist for Syco and for Sony Music Worldwide.”
Lewis will tour the UK and Germany in support of Glassheart from April of this year. Tickets are available from Gigs & Tours.
