Last night saw the UK premier of the sci-fi action thriller, Total Recall starring Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel. Before she got glammed up for the red carpet, Biel took some time out to go and visit KISS FM DJ, Clara to talk girl fights, getting drunk and trying not to fall over!
“It wasn’t a cheesy girl fight,” Justin Timberlake’s fiancee reveals about her on-screen scraps with co-star Kate Beckinsale.”It wasn’t just some scratching and pulling hair and then getting each other’s clothes ripped off, then randomly fighting in a bra, which is what you would expect in maybe something like this.” Well with five solid months of training in boxing, kickboxing, yoga, martial arts and Parkour training we’d hope not!
The film is a remake of the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger movie revolving around the implanting of artificial memories, so if she could, what memory would Jessica like to be erased? “There are a million memories I’d like to forget,” she tells Clara. “That first time I got drunk and threw up all night long, I’d like to forget that one” Wouldn’t we all Jess, wouldn’t we all.
The 30 year old actress also revealed her red carpet fears ahead of the evening’s premier. “It’s always nerve wracking! You’re sharing a film, which is your baby in a sense, with a bunch of people and you’re putting your heart and soul out on the line,” she says nervously. “You have butterflies in your stomach. ‘Are you gonna trip?’ is always a question. Are people going to receive us well? Do they even care that we’re here? You know, there are all these sorts of questions that scroll through your head. Am I going to sweat through my dress? Rip it? What’s going to happen? But I feel like is it going to happen to me one day!? Probably right!? You walk enough red carpets and eventually one day you’re just going to fall. Please not tonight!”
Luckily for Jessica she got through the night just ok, though she did reveal that her dress was too tight and swiftly changed it once she got inside the theatre. We think she looked gorgeous.
Totall Recall is out in cinemas on 29 August.
