Mitch Winehouse Delivers Emotional Eulogy at Amy’s Funeral

Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch read out an emotional eulogy at his daughter’s funeral earlier today. To a church full of close friends and family, spokesperson Chris Goodman said that Mitch wanted to celebrate her life:

“Mitch was funny, he told some great stories from her childhood. It was a celebration. He stressed many times that she had been more content than she had been in years. Mitch paid tribute to a lot of people from Amy’s life…Mitch’s last words to Amy in his eulogy were “Goodnight my angel. Sleep tight. Mummy and Daddy love you ever so much.”"

The service included prayers in both English and in Hebrew and after Mitch’s eulogy, a rendition of Carole King’s ‘So Far Away’ was played which was apparantly Amy’s favourite song.

Attendees at the funeral included brother Alex, boyfriend Reg Traviss, God daughter Dionne Bromfield, Kelly Osbourne, Mark Ronson, Nick Grimshaw, Remi Nicole and Amy’s band members.
