American Idol has a new rival in the States. The latest music talent show to launch is called “The Voice” and has a superstar line -up of Cee-lo, Adam Levine from Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, country music star Blake Shelton and famed TV producer Mark Burnett. The cast appeared at a press conference in Los Angeles last night and the show is set to debut on NBC on 26th April.
Speaking of her new TV show, Aguilera said:
‘I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.’
